WiMORE’s athletic trainer Salsomaggiore takes stock of the first two weeks of the preseason. “The guys were really good and very helpful”
First two weeks of preparation behind WiMORE Salsomaggiore who, waiting for the debut in the Serie A3 Credem Banca national championship scheduled for 15 October, continues to work intensely between sessions in the weight room in the morning at the Training Center under the eyes of physical trainer Adriano Guareschi and evening workouts at the Oltretorrente gym. The technical staff, directed by coach Alberto Raho, can also make use of the precious support of the athletic trainers Massimiliano Rimoldi and Luca Amisano, who draw up a partial balance of the preseason phase. “In these first few weeks, as I like to say, the boys held their ground and were really good and very helpful – explains Amisano, born in ’98, born in Feira de Santana in the state of Bahia in Brazil and returning from experiences in basketball in various Reggio youth teams, in his first season in the ranks of the Gialloblù – we had two good weeks which I hope will serve us to play in a good level championship, in which there will be more and less strong teams but this shouldn’t interest us because we need to think exclusively about our work and put in the same commitment as we did at the start of preparation throughout the season as well”.
What will the work focus on in the next few days?
“We will certainly follow very basic and soft programs compared to these weeks. The other athletic trainer Rimoldi and I meet every day with the technical staff, we did weight sessions alternating them, in the first few days, with activity in the pool and on the sand. We’ve moved on to the gym now and will do more of the sprint work. We are in line to arrive in very good shape on October 15 when the debut in the league is scheduled “.
How much does a young team facilitate your task?
“With the boys there is much more willingness to recreate even greater stimuli, young people are more inclined to struggle in relation to more experienced players who perhaps need more help and more personalized programs”.
