After four intense days of training, spent between the weight room and the pitch at the Monza Arena and the swimming pool at the “Seven Infinity” Sports Center in Gorgonzola, the men’s Vero Volley Monza can enjoy the first day off of the 2023/2024 season.

Eccheli’s boys, working to prepare for the tenth consecutive season in SuperLega and the European adventure in the CEV Challenge Cup, worked in reduced ranks given the absence of some athletes currently called up for the national team. The protagonists of this first week of work were captain Thomas Beretta, central defender Gabriele Di Martino, together with newcomers Ibrahim Lawani, Francesco Comparoni and Marco Gaggini, the last two having already moved to the first team at Monza in the 2021/2022 season; to complete the team available to coach Eccheli, Flavio Morazzini, product of the Monza youth team and two Under 19 athletes, Gabriele Mariani and Gabriele Pertoldi.

Next week the boys of Vero Volley Monza will increase their workloads by adding some sessions on the sand to the weights/field work of the Monza Arena and the water training sessions of the “Seven Infinity”, also in the Gorgonzola Sports Centre.

While waiting for Gianluca Galassi, Fernando Kreling, Eric Loeppky, Stephen Maar, Luka Marttila, Arthur Szwarc, Ran Takahashi and Petar Visic, the intense work of the first team from Monza continues in view of the first official SuperLega match scheduled for October 22 all ‘Eurosole Forum of Civitanova against the hosts of Lube Volley.
