Volley Tricolore rally continues with the usual and awaited appointment of the bowls tournament reserved for players and staff of Conad Volley Tricolore on Thursday 10 August. Tournament won by coach Fabio Fanuli together with the athletic trainer Gabriele Mercati. The members of the Felinese Bocciofila Goffredo Ricci, Lorenzo Croci, Francesco Pellegrino and Giulio Zini refereed the meetings. To welcome the players at the Felina bowling alley was Mirca Pignedoli, president of the association affiliated to the Italian Bocce Federation which manages the facility. During the evening, the members of the bowling club kneaded, fried and served the fried dumplings to the team’s players and staff.
August 11th saw the Reggio Emilia team take part in two major events: after morning training in the weight room, coach Fanuli’s boys visited the Razzoli vinegar factory in Razzolo di Villa Minozzo, to then conclude the day by climbing the catwalk of Miss Italy Emilia Romagna.
Sportsman Giuliano Razzoli, together with his sister, welcomed the team and staff into their vinegar cellar; after explaining the process of creating the traditional balsamic vinegar of Reggio Emilia DOP, the balsamic vinegar of their production was tasted in the three different ages: lobster, silver and finally gold. We then visited the vinegar factory, built in the old barn of the house where the Razzoli family produces balsamic vinegar. To end the experience, the team tasted the three types of vinegar combined with ricotta cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano of different ages and finally with the ice cream produced by Mrs. Tiziana, Giuliano’s mother. Also present at the visit were the mayor of Castelnovo ne’ Monti Enrico Bini and the member of Conad Felina Stefano Castellini.
In the evening, the team attended the regional final of Miss Italy in the square of Castelnovo ne’ Monti, valid for Miss Castelnovo and Miss Parmigiano Reggiano. The team was introduced on stage by the Councilor for Sport of Castelnovo ne’ Monti; the players and the staff paraded on the catwalk of Miss Italia Emilia Romagna, and then dabbled in bagher and dribbles with the participating girls. Volley Tricolore accompanied the misses in the dance of in a medley entirely dedicated to Raffaella Carrà, to then move on to the “Stacchetto” which ended the experience on the Giallorossi stage with a “fountain” parade.
