The red and white club looks to the future and is already working on next season. The first piece concerns the management where there is an important novelty with the arrival of Italo Vullo, who will cover the role of General Manager of Volleyball Macerata taking the place of Francesco Gabrielli. Vullo boasts a great deal of experience in the world of volleyball: in his past, in addition to a career as a player, roles both as a coach and manager, his last assignments were in Monza with Vero Volley, therefore in the season that has just ended he followed Moyashi Garlasco, opponent of Med Store Tunit in the White Group of Serie A3.
“I knew Macerata well, we met several times in the field over the years with my old company, Massa, and then with Garlasco”, recalls the new General Manager Italo Vullo, “Personally, I had the opportunity to meet the President Gianluca Tittarelli in the appointments in Lega Volley, while I’ve always known DS Riccardo Modica, then I received a call from Francesco Gabrielli. We spoke with the company and we saw that our ideas about a possible collaboration matched”. You arrive in an ambitious reality, for years at the top of its category and with very clear objectives, “I’m an ambitious person so I can’t help but feel at ease in this context. Obviously victory is not guaranteed, every year many participate and the best result is not always obtained: I have been in volleyball for 50 years and have only won in a few seasons, the goal must be to build the conditions for winning; the whole sports structure and the people of Volleyball Macerata must row in the same direction. I can say that in recent years an excellent job has been done here by Riccardo Modica and the management, Macerata is known throughout the category as one of the best structured clubs in A3 and also in several A2 teams. I will try to give my contribution to help Macerata grow further, I am very happy with this opportunity”. Volleyball Macerata is not only Serie A, the club is particularly keen on the youth sector of the Volley Academy, “We talked about it, I will have the pleasure of availing myself of the collaboration of those who developed the Volley Academy, the will is to continue to improve. The youth sector is essential for a reality like Volleyball Macerata, also with a view to consolidating the strong link that exists with the territory and bringing more and more people closer to society”.
