The four most important days of the black and white season begin tomorrow evening at the PalaBarton with the Block Devils awaiting Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle for the return leg of the European semifinal.
This afternoon and tomorrow morning final finishing touches for Anastasi’s boys, tomorrow evening at 20:30 in Pian di Massiano, with live TV on Eurosport 2 and live streaming on Discovery+, kick-off of the match in a packed PalaBarton ready to push strong from the first ball their favorites.
It starts from the victory of Zaksa 3-1 in the first leg, Perugia must necessarily win full and then play the golden set to qualify for the final. With any other result at the Finals in Turin, the Polish team will go.
Formation to be decided for Andrea Anastasi. The Juventus coach, together with his staff, will make all the necessary assessments in these last two training sessions before composing the starting seven. A possible option could be the one with Giannelli in the direction, Herrera diagonally, Russo and Flavio pair of centre-backs, Leon and Semeniuk as receivers and Colaci as free.
Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle arrives in Perugia on the strength of the result and the showdown demonstrated in the first leg and is looking for its third consecutive Champions League final. The Finnish coach Sammelvuo shouldn’t make any changes to the line-up of eight days ago in Kędzierzyn-Koźle and therefore Janusz should be in the match at the start of the match, Kaczmarek diagonally, Pashitskii and Smith centrally, Sliwka and Bednorz spikers in place four and Free Shoji.
ENTRANCE TO THE PALABARTON
The Juventus club announces that tomorrow the doors of the PalaBarton will open at approximately 18:30 to allow better access to the match. To better regulate public access, accesses A1 – A3 – B2 – B3 will be available. The ticket office of the building will instead be open from around 17:00.
PREVIOUS
Two precedents between the two teams. One is the 3rd/4th place final of the Champions League Final Four in Kazan in 2018 won by Perugia 3-2 (17-25, 29-27, 19-25, 25-23, 15-7), the another thing is the first leg won last Wednesday by Zaksa 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 25-22).
EX OF THE MATCH
Only one ex in tomorrow’s challenge. It is the black and white Kamil Semeniuk, born in Kędzierzyn-Koźle and raised in Zaksa where he played until last season.
