On Sunday’s match against Pool Libertas Cantù, 2nd day of A2 Credem Banca, the coach of Kemas Lamipel, Vincenzo Mastrangelo, will be awarded on the court by Lega Volley as the “best coach” of the category in the 2021-22 season. The trophy has already arrived, the official protocol is ready: delivery will take place immediately before the match. Gioia del Colle’s coach won the votes thanks to the many successes achieved in the past season at the helm of Conad Reggio Emilia. Mastrangelo led the Emilian team to promotion to the Super League, to the conquest of the Italian Cup, to the silver medal in the Super Cup. Perhaps an unrepeatable path, absolutely off the mark, but which earned our Vincenzo the most important and unanimous recognition.

Vincenzo Mastrangelo made his debut on the bench in the 90s, dividing himself between the role of assistant coach and that of “deputy” official. Two years of A1 in Gioia, three years of A2 in Taranto (with a lot of promotion in 2000). The new millennium saw him still “straddling” these two important Southern realities, up to the first bench as a starter, in 2005-06, obviously in Gioia, in A2. There are experiences between A and B in Noicattaro, Isernia, Santeramo, Sanseverino, all until the landing in Vibo Valentia, the A1 2010-11 championship. Three years in Calabria as second, two years in Matera, then the return to Vibo as a protagonist, A2 2015-16 tournament (and conquest of the Italian Cup). The path begins as “first”: Alessano, Gioia del Colle, Reggio Emilia, Castellana Grotte. The last experience at Volley Tricolore is the decisive one: a two-year period that culminates in the triumphs of last year, awarded this evening with the coveted recognition. Since the current season, 2022-23, Vincenzo Mastrangelo is the head coach of Kemas Lamipel S. Croce.
