In view of the friendly match against TINET Prata di Pordenone next Saturday (a team that the green-and-whites will also face in the league) we exchanged a few words with DS Alessandro Carniel and coach Pino Lorizio.
Work with the new group started about a month ago. First sensations?
AC: The sensations are good. The group is cohesive and is working hard under the orders of the Staff.
PL: The first sensations are definitely positive and I have the impression that once again we have made the right choices for building the team
Is there anyone who has particularly impressed or impressed you after this first month of work?
AC: They are all kids who have hunger, discipline, courage and dedication to work. Consequently, the impressions are good. The field will speak then.
PL: You know it’s very difficult for me to talk about singles. But they all proved to have everything we were looking for in them: desire to improve, availability and desire to create something beautiful together with others!
They will still play away from PalaGrassato, but the team will live and work near Motta. How much, in your opinion, will this aspect help with respect to the “isolation” experienced in Caorle last season?
AC: Training away from your country and from your own facility for the second consecutive year is proving to be really difficult as we have to adapt to schedules and difficulties related to living with other associations. The damage and the difficulties we have to solve are greater than the meager consolation of having the boys who live in Motta.
PL: It is useless to hide behind a finger … We are in the same difficulties as last year. Of course we are happy to live in Motta because it makes us feel closer to our fans, but after two years, not yet having a facility where we can plan the season in the best possible way for an A2 club like ours is a huge difficulty that perhaps no other club. of A2 has.
First test of the season on Saturday in Pordenone (PalaCrisafulli at 20.00) against Tinet Prata. What do you expect to see from the team?
AC: I think it is a simple pre-season training session of relative value given that Prata will not have his starting director on the pitch.
PL: Against Prata I expect to see the improvements that the guys have made individually in this month of work. But it is still early to see the team I have in mind.
