Valentin Kordas is a new player of Motta di Livenza, arriving directly from the Estonian national team.
Born in 1998, 31 December, and the hope is that his path among the Lions will be as sparkling as the last night of the year. He is 191 cm tall, explosive, of great elevation and fresh winner of the Estonian championship.
Now he is busy with the national team, but we went to steal a few minutes from him to get to know him better. Valentin of himself says: “I’m just a boy who loves volleyball, and I’m lucky to be able to say it’s my life”
For you it will be your first experience in Italy, what prompted you to accept the challenge?
“I have played many seasons in the Estonian league, but now I think I am ready to play in a tournament as competitive as the Italian one. I want to grow as a player and get involved in other countries and with new teammates. The coach motivated me a lot in facing this new challenge and I could only accept. ”
Last year you played at Bigbank Tartu in Estonia, winning the championship. What differences do you expect between the Estonian and the Italian leagues?
“I think the biggest difference is the level of play. The Italian one is really high. I also believe that I will find differences in the organization of the teams and matches. In Estonia for example, we don’t have Video Check or Taraflex, except in the final matches. ”
What are your goals in green-and-white?
“The biggest goal is to be able to play to the maximum and be able to help the team. I want to grow as a player and win everything possible. “
