What is the balance of the season that has just ended?
I am very happy to have finished the regular season for the umpteenth time in fifth place. Last season many teams had strengthened and, as we have seen, playing in the best league in the world was not easy. The objectives we set ourselves were achieved in compliance with sound corporate management and reaching the Final Four of the Italian Cup was the unexpected icing on the cake.
How will next year’s team be?
The purchases and renewals announced so far confirm the goodness of our program. Thanks also to our Title Sponsor Allianz (who has renewed support for the next three seasons by reinforcing support at 360 degrees) and to old and new partners who have embraced our sporting but above all social project, we have managed to reinforce the training that, also this year, it presents itself of undoubted value. The squad of players has been completed for some time. We have extended and strengthened our roster by giving the coach valuable alternatives to the so-called owners: we have among us another Olympic medalist, Agustin Loser, from Argentina (Best Blocker in Tokyo), in addition to our opposite Jean Patry. Among the newcomers also Vitelli, blue by now firmly among the best Italian power plants and Melgarejo from Chaumont, multiple champion of France. We are also defining the last details of a complex negotiation to bring the captain of the Iranian national team to Milan, Milad Ebadipour for 5 years, spearhead of the famous Polish team SKRA Belchatow. Among the confirmed our great captain Matteo Piano, the extraordinary talent Paolo Porro and the exceptional Yuky Ishikawa. In addition to bringing players from our nursery to the first team, as we have been doing for years. Incidentally, again this year, like last year, we still won two Italian youth titles (Under 17 and Junior League)
