Bassano and Latina will be watching their colleagues fight it out in the deciding third game to try to join them in the semi final. Having both won their quarter final in two games, they will be on level terms at least in terms of rest and fitness. Bassano does have the court advantage but Latina remains the team to beat in these playoffs and will therefore be the favourite.
“In Mantova we did a good job of turning the pressure into positive tension – explained coach Cretu – No need to say that the league games will not matter at all, because the playoffs are a whole different game. Given that they always lost against us, they will be even more motivated. It will be a top level game, intense and thrilling. Hopefully the gym will be packed”.
