Italy’s Video check in Berlin
The ‘made in Italy’ through the Video Check System will be present in the Champions League final four to be played this weekend in Berlin.
The system has been invented by the Italian Volleyball League in collaboration with FIPAV. It will be in the Max-Schmeling-Halle, where there will unfortunately not be any Italian teams. There will be the last version of the Video check, the one used in Chieti for the Serie A2 cup final four, where the new technology checking the touches at the net have been introduced for the first time.
The CEO of the Italian Volleyball League, Massimo Righi, will be in Berlin, while Gabriele Pirruccio will be the one working on the sideline together with the Data Project staff, who’s been in charge of commercializing the Video Check abroad in the last few months.
The interest in the Video Check has kept growing with the latest development. For example, the Philippines have added their name among the foreign buyers just a few days ago. The FIPAV have already requested it for the World League and European Championship games to be played in Italy.
