Sweet victory for Cuneo against the French team of Arago di Sete in the second round of the Champions League. Cuneo makes it two wins in as many games and shares the top spot of the group with Rzeszow, 3-0 winners of the Rumanians of Zalau.
Grbic and co developed excellent team play in the first set. The French got off to a better start in the second as well as in the third, and were ahead 22-19 and 22-20 in both sets. However, coach Piazza found the best remedy on each occasion: in the young setter Abdel-Aziz who created havoc in the opposite reception with his serve and helped the team get back in it. Sokolov and Ngapeth finished the job off.
