Montichiari’s unhealthy travelling continues as they failed once more to get a win on the road. Martina Franca showed great character, especially when star man Granvorka had to leave the game early. New signing Luigi Mastrangelo was not available yet but with Sequeira coming in, the southern team did the job anyway. Coscione and Rodriguez took over the leadership and led their team in the clutch moments.
Manuel Coscione (Stamplast Martina Franca): “We talked a lot this week because we had to react after our performance in Treviso. We got on court with a different attitude today and that allowed us to overcome Granvorka’s injury. These are three really important points for us”.
Mauro Berruto (Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari): “It won’t be easy for anyone to come and win in this gym. The atmosphere is special and I was afraid the team could lose his composure. We surely could have done more and maybe we had the opportunity to get something out of the game”.
