Great victory for Conad who conquered the Porto Viro sports hall and took home two points which allow them to climb a step in the rankings: last night’s 3-2 gave them eleventh place.
A complicated match in a hot arena last night, where the Reggio players were able to keep up with the fearsome Porto Viro and snatched the victory from them right in the tie-break, now Reggio has twelve points in the standings and is not far from the teams just above her; the match on Sunday 15/12, brought forward to 4pm, will certainly be able to give the Reggio team the right momentum to close the first round in the best possible way.
Nicholas Sighinolfi, Granata central defender: “It was certainly a beautiful, tense match, which saw the score going point to point throughout the entire match. Beyond the victory, it was important for us to score points and climb the table, doing it away from home gives us an edge. In my opinion, tonight we were not good at correcting the mistakes, which perhaps in the matches where we play better we can fix. We will have to continue to grow in attack also with a view to the next match.”
Pawel Stabrawa, Reggio opposite: “We return home very satisfied because we won in a very tough field where many teams lost, this victory pushes us to work even harder because we have another fundamental match ahead of us. Today we all fought together, we found this spirit, after a week full of excellent work and I think this was the winning element tonight.
