The 2024 edition of the Club World Cup kicks off on Tuesday 10 December, which will take place entirely in Uberlandia, Brazil. Trentino Volley (with the official name of Trentino Itas which will be adopted throughout the event) will be the protagonist of the world championship tournament for the eleventh time in its history, inserted in Pool B (group phase). The yellow-blue team will play the three matches of the first phase in rapid succession: Tuesday 10 December (at 2 pm Italian time against the Iranians of Shahdab Yazd), Wednesday 11 December (at 5.30 pm Italian time against the Argentinians of Ciudad Volley) and Friday 13 December (at half past midnight in Italy against the Brazilians of Sada Cruzeiro). They will all be broadcast live on OTT platforms DZAN and VBTV.
THE GAME FORMULA The eight participating teams representing four of the five continents of the world (only Oceania will be missing) will be divided in the first phase into two groups (Pool A and Pool B) of four teams each, who will compete against each other from the 10th to December 13th in a one-way round robin (Round Robin) for a total of 12 matches. The top two in each group of the first phase will advance to the semi-finals (scheduled for 14 December, the finals will be played on 15 December). The third and fourth placed teams will be eliminated directly.
