A triple announcement for Cuneo Volley which formalizes the hiring of three very interesting young people who will certainly have their work cut out for them during the season. In the center Mirco Compagnoni from Brescia, born in 2003, is hired for 202cm arriving from Brugherio; Under 22 European Champion, fifth year in Serie A and second (non-consecutive) in A2 with previous experience in Santa Croce in the 22/23 season. Regarding the next season he declared: «I expect to be able to carve out some space for myself, even if I have two of the best central defenders in A2 in front of me and to gain a lot of satisfaction».

Mirco, what made you choose Cuneo?
« I want to test myself at a higher level and improve in all the fundamentals, if I can do this in an ambitious club like Cuneo even better; one of the companies that has always been among the best over the years.”

You entered the arena these days for an extra training session, what do you expect in the season?
« I expect a fierce audience ready to support the team as I saw them in the year of Santa Croce. They have a good reputation, an extra motivation to give their best during the year.”

The second diagonal, however, will be formed by the setter from Campania Roberto Mastrangelo, arriving from Lagonegro, and the opposite player from Trentino Davide Brignach. Born in ’98, the director from Salerno spent the last two seasons in the ranks of Lagonegro. Upon his arrival in Cuneo he declared: “I started with other projects, then the call from Cuneo came and I quickly changed my mind.”

Roberto, you have already experienced an A2 championship, what do you expect from next year?
« This championship reminds me a bit of what I did two years ago, again in A2, where practically every team was of a high level and every match was a bit of a story in itself. It seems like a cliché, but I think that every day this year we will have to fight on equal terms with everyone, at home and away.”

Directly from the Serie B of Trentino Volley, the 201cm opposite 2004 arrives in Cuneo and in the last month he played in the Promotion Play Offs and the Junior League Final with the Trentino team. His first words as a blue and white: « I know it won’t be easy because the technical and physical differences from a B series to an A2 are notable, but I will put my all into keeping up with my teammates, the experience of most of they will help me I’m sure of it!
