HERE TRENTINO ITAS After the promising result obtained seven days ago at home, the yellow-blues return to the Marche to try to gain a pass for the Final of the top continental competition, already played twice in the last three editions. To actually do this you will need to win at least two sets, taking into account that to get through to the round you need to get at least one point, or even just secure the golden set at the end of the official match if the home team had won it 3-0 or 3 -1.
“The result of the first leg is undoubtedly positive but, in fact, it only serves to keep our chances of qualifying intact in view of the match to be played in Civitanova Marche – explained coach Fabio Soli -. To aspire to get a pass for the Final we will have to put on the field the same attitude shown in Trento last Wednesday: humble, determined and resilient against a very high level opponent which he demonstrated, just a few days ago against Monza in game 3 of the quarterfinals of the Play Off, how dangerous and always alive he can be in front of his audience.”
The team reached Civitanova Marche at lunchtime, where they will train in the evening; for this fundamental trip the yellow-blue coach brought with him all fifteen current players in the squad; only the injured Riccardo Sbertoli will have to remain in the stands.
THE NUMBERS OF TRENTINO VOLLEY IN EUROPE This is the eighth Champions League semi-final in the history of Trentino Volley. Since 2021, the penultimate act of the tournament has been divided into a double match (home first leg, away second leg) and no longer a single match to be played on a neutral pitch during a Final Four (as happened in the first five semi-finals gialloblù), Trentino Volley has always faced an Italian team at this point of the scoreboard. The challenge with Civitanova comes after the 2021 and 2022 semi-finals played against Perugia. Furthermore, the Via Trener Club has a particular feeling with the semi-final of the event, having managed to pass the round and therefore qualify for the final in six of the previous seven circumstances.
