For the first time in its history Tinet Prata… will speak Polish! In fact, after having had foreign Swedish players, a long and successful experience with Bulgarian players and Slovakia represented by Michal Petras, Sports Director Luciano Sturam and General Director Dario Sanna set their sights on the twenty-seven year old place 4 spiker Marcin Ernastowicz. The new yellow-blue addition came through the youth ranks at Jastrzębski Węgiel, one of the most glorious clubs in the nation with 4 league titles won and 2 Champions League finals reached. At Jastrzębski his coach was the current coach of the Italian national team Ferdinando De Giorgi.  Then the move to Switzerland to join Schönenwerd with which he played two seasons, reaching a third place. Then four years in Germany at Düren with whom he always ranks in the top positions and plays in a German Cup final in 2023.
From August he will move to Prata with his inseparable dog Honig, honey in German.

“I have always heard very good things – these are his first official words from Passerotto – both about the team and the area. I really appreciate the fact that the club has great aspirations and ambitions and I would like to help the team achieve great results in the upcoming season. On a personal level, I aim to become a better player and enjoy every single moment of this adventure together with my teammates. At team level there can only be two objectives: to do very well in A2 and also in the Italian Cup.”

What are your thoughts on Italian volleyball?

“Italian volleyball is one of the best in the world. I really admire the work ethic and also the way of training and playing that exists in this country. In Poland I had De Giorgi as a coach and I learned a lot from him. This is also why I chose Prata: I am sure that I will be able to make significant improvements under the guidance of Mario Di Pietro”.

If you had to describe yourself as a player through some keywords, which would you use?

“Ambitious, Explosive and Versatile”

How is Marcin off the pitch?

“In 2021 I completed my studies at Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego in Katowice majoring in Sport Management. In my free time I love playing video games, reading, cooking and walking with my dog. In addition to volleyball, I have another Italian curiosity to discover: traditional foods and recipes.”

Greetings to your new fans?

“Message to all fans: I can’t wait to see you in the arena to cheer for us and… win with us!”
