It wasn’t enough to play one of the best sets of the season. It wasn’t enough to put in a strong performance, declining, but still strong. The ranking in Cuneo hasn’t moved and we need one of those stellar performances at home – which the boys have accustomed us to – to get back to celebrating. The penultimate place in the standings begins to burn and the twelfth first leg brings with it another prohibitive clash which for Macerata has a single objective: to reverse the recent trend of defeats to find a victory which, also considering the value of the next opponent, would be literally gold.
