Another young talent arrives at Camillo Placì’s court: Francesco Bernardis, a 190 cm setter born in 2004 who comes from the youth team of the Italian champions Trentino Volley and who made his debut in the Super League last season.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity – says the young setter, who adds – in addition to the very high level with which I will be able to compete, I really liked the club’s project, I like the staff and I see a motivated group, with many players of the highest level. I consider Saitta a master, but I am sure that I will be able to learn a lot from each of my teammates.”
Bernardis played in the under-14 national finals at PalaCatania in 2018 and remembers that moment: “It was exciting and I can’t wait to repeat this experience”.
“There is another thing that strikes me a lot and it is the historicity of this company which, I read, will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary in 2025. It is therefore a group with a great history and tradition and, after Trento, I am happy to continue my journey with another club that does so much to keep the level of Italian volleyball high.”
