Once the bitterness for the burning elimination in the Quarterfinals of the Serie A3 Credem Banca Promotional Play Offs by Leo Shoes Casarano has been disposed of, it’s time to take stock at WiMORE Parma, which at its absolute debut in the category achieved salvation across the board advance and the Post Season phase, in which in the Round of 16 it managed to oust the more famous Macerata in the double confrontation. The sporting director of the Gialloblù club, Alessandro Grossi, is proud of the results achieved by the team which, above all, in the second half of the championship gave all the opponents a hard time leaving the field with their heads held high until the last game. “The balance of the season can only be positive, it was a year of great change for the club: making the first League championship in our history was certainly challenging, at an organizational level I would like to thank all the people who made sure that the race event was always a very pleasant party for those who came to see us. Also from the point of view of the results on the field we can only be happy, in the first year we entered the best eight teams out of the total twenty-eight of the two groups”.

Is there a bit of regret for the bitter epilogue with Casarano?

“It was an equal battle, in both matches we had our chances however, as happens in sport, I think that in the end whoever wins deserves honor to Casarano who has always found the decisive plays in the important moments. It is clear that there was some bitterness, regret and sadness at the end of the two games, as is normal for a sportsman who always aims to improve. But you have to be clear-headed and understand that the boys’ season has been excellent, if a couple of more games haven’t come, they don’t change the idea and the growth path we’ve all made together. I want to thank them very much.”

What was the most exhilarating moment?

“Fortunately, there have been many beautiful moments this season, certainly the first home match (last October 9th, the 3-2 success against Garlasco) with so many people watching gave us great emotion, then the double victory against Macerata at the Play Off was very exciting. I carry with me many positive memories”.
