From the land of the Vikings to the Eurosole Forum in Civitanova via Hawaii. The Norwegian setter Jakob Thelle was presented this morning at the arena in front of journalists and red and white fans. The Scandinavian athlete landed in Italy last Friday and on Monday he got to work with the team for the official start of the athletic preparation for the 2023/24 sports season.
Born in 1999 and originally from Tonsberg, Thelle is back from his experience with the Hawaii University team. After experimenting with various sports, the Scandinavian giant focused on indoor volleyball, gaining space at home in the ToppVolley Norge before embarking on the American adventure.
After winning the Big West Conference for the third time, his team lost their third consecutive NCCA title in the Final, but Thelle was named player of the year in the United States university tournament.
