Last weekly efforts for Sir Susa Vim Perugia.
The afternoon training and the technical training tomorrow morning will close the fourth block of work for the Bianconeri who will then meet again on Monday morning at the PalaBarton to resume activity.
Colaci and his companions have raised the engine speed in recent days. The increasingly better condition allowed the group led by coach Lorenzetti to increase pace and intensity on the pitch, giving the Fano native the opportunity to also start trying out some technical-tactical team situations.
It is one of the new signings, the libero born and raised in Ortona Alessandro Toscani, who closes the fourth week of preparation.
“The preparation is going very well and I’ve been having a great time since day one with all the staff, from the coaches to the athletic trainer. The fourth week is coming to an end, which is usually one of the slightly more complicated ones because the workload increases and becomes heavier, but I would say that everything is going well. Then I feel great in Perugia, the city is wonderful and I’m discovering it and getting to know it day after day.”
For Toscani, first career experience in the Super League. And being able to do it alongside a champion like Max Colaci increases the enthusiasm of the twenty-five year old from Abruzzo.
“I relate to Max a lot and I get along very well with him, but I have to say with everyone in general. I really admire Max and how he has the ability to always remain very focused in training from start to finish. For me it’s an honor to play here with him and with everyone else. I can’t wait for the championship to start so I can get to know the fans too, I saw them in the two Italy matches played here in Perugia during the European Championships and I felt they were very warm.”
FOR THE EUROPEANS THE CHALLENGE FOR GOLD IS ITALY-POLAND!
It’s time for the finals for the European Men’s Volleyball Championships.
After yesterday’s semi-finals, tomorrow at the PalaEur in Rome is the final day of the event with the two finals scheduled to award the continental medals.
In contention for the bronze medal is Ropret’s Slovenia (in doubt after the ankle injury suffered yesterday during the semi-final match against Poland) who will challenge the reigning Olympic champions France at 5.30pm to chase the fourth medal of the last five editions of the European Championships and to confirm himself once again among the elite of international volleyball.
Following at 9.00 pm the great challenge for gold between the two favorites of the day before Italy and Poland for a tasty and unmissable remake of last year’s world final.
