First day of work in view of the new season for Delta Group Porto Viro. The nerofuchsia troop – next protagonist of the Serie A2 Credem Banca men’s volleyball championship – met this morning at the Clodia Piscina & Fitness center in Chioggia where the initial physical tests were scheduled.
All the players of the current roster were present, including the two “Azzurrini” who took part in the category championships this summer, center back Mattia Eccher, Vice World Champion with the U21 national team, and the opposite Tommaso Barotto who returned in Italy a few days ago after the seventh place obtained at the U19 World Cup in Argentina.
Supervised by the new head coach Daniele Morato and his second Marcello Mattioli, also this year the athletic training of the Delta Group is entrusted to Matteo Carlesso. With him four other confirmations in the medical-physical staff, the team doctor Alberto Marzolla, the physiotherapist Dario Ravagnan, the osteopaths Enrico Boscolo Nata and Eleonora Odorizzi. On the technical side, however, the scoutman Davide Porporati completes the roster, in his third season in Porto Viro.
In the afternoon, athletes and staff moved to the Palasport in via XXV Aprile for the first weight training session of the year and the inevitable “baptism” of President Luigi Veronese.
