Thick reinforcement in place three for Delta Group Porto Viro: middle blocker Matteo Zamagni, born in 1989, 195 centimeters tall, is arriving from BCC Castellana Grotte.
From 2010 – the year of his debut in the category – to today, Zamagni has played 12 seasons in Serie A2 Credem Banca, collecting over 350 appearances and more than 2500 points in all competitions, but above all putting his signature on three promotions in the SuperLega (2011, 2012 and 2022) and an A2 Italian Cup (2022). Last year he was the fourth best bricklayer in the cadet championship with 68 blocks, the fifth among A2 central players for overall performance, and he closed the regular season with an astonishing 62% in attack.
A complete player, in all respects, who brings quality and experience to the central department of the Delta Group: “I chose to come to Porto Viro – says Zamagni – for the seriousness of the proposal that was made to me and because the nerofuchsia management is was the first to contact me. It made me feel wanted and that’s important to me. Furthermore. I am very happy to return to play with Fefè (Garnica, ed) with whom I had a great season in Reggio Emilia, not only for the results we obtained but also for the group that was created. In terms of character, how would you describe the new Delta Group purchase? “I’m a bit shy, especially when I enter a new environment, but I try to make myself known and appreciated first of all for my skills on the pitch, which I think is the thing that interests everyone the most, so I always give my best training and in the match”.
