Itas Trentino men’s team on the court at the IL Daily Arena on Saturday afternoon for the fourth test match of their pre-season preparation – the third at home in the last eight days. After the match against S. Croce last Friday and the “international” match against Innsbruck on Wednesday, in this case the Italian Champions will compete against Tinet Prata of Pordenone, an ambitious Serie A2 team.
The appointment will start at 5.30 pm and will be carried out in the form of joint training as had already happened in the previous meetings with Kemas Lamipel and Hypo Tirol. For the gialloblù, who will have the libero Laurenzano back for the occasion, it will be an interesting test which comes at the end of the seventh week of activity, the penultimate one faced with reduced ranks. “The many test matches that we are supporting in this period are giving us very precise indications and interesting ideas for the work that we will have to undertake in the immediately following days – explained coach Fabio Soli -; I hope that this friendly match can also offer us something in this sense. At the same time, it is important to continue to show progress, not only from a physical and technical point of view but also with regards to mentality, which must be built and cemented on every single occasion.”
The Tinet Prata of Pordenone coached by Dante Boninfante (Lorenzetti’s Assistant Coach for three seasons in Trento) will present themselves in the stadium in via Fersina in full force and with already four test matches behind them, including the one against Piacenza (0-3) and the very recent one against Ljubljana (1-3, next yellow-blue opponent in the Champions League group stage). In the Friulians’ roster the best-known names are those of the opposite Lucconi, the spiker Terpin (both former Vibo Valentia) and the libero who grew up in the Trentino Volley academy De Angelis (64 appearances in the first team, topped off by the victory of a Club World Cup , a CEV Cup and the Italian Super Cup as well as various Italian youth titles).
The joint training will be carried out behind open doors and will be broadcast live on the Trentino Volley YouTube channel (www.trentinovolley.it/trentinovolleytv).
