The kick-off for match 1 of the play outs is approaching (Monday 10 April, 6.00 pm Paolo VI in Brugherio), the post season of Gamma Chimica Brugherio to chase salvation in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship.
On the last day of the regular season, the verdict was Stadium Volleyball Mirandola. In fact, the yellow and blues, positioned in twelfth place in the white group, will be the rivals of the rosanero in the fiery play-out sequence.
It starts at Gamma Chimica Brugherio who, thanks to their better position in the standings compared to the Modenese (11th place), will open the series with race 1 (Monday 10 April at 18:00 at the Paolo VI), will stop in Mirandola for Game 2 (Sunday 16 April at 18:00), with the advantage then of the home factor to be played again in the eventual play-off of Game 3 (Sunday 23 April, 18:00 Paul VI).
Contrasting emotions, expectation, curiosity and adrenaline animate the “behind the scenes”. For the very young Diavolisi it is in fact the first time for an appointment with such a hot stake. On the other hand, those who have already faced and overcome many challenges of this magnitude are the troop commander, coach Durand, who is preparing to experience the play-outs with a clear understanding of what to do, as ambitious as such an appointment requires and aware of the great value of his boys in whom he places great trust.
Coach Durand, shall we draw a brief summary of the championship together? The balance of the regular season is certainly positive, most of the team was in their first experience in Serie A with an average age that is by far the youngest of all the league championships. We had many physical difficulties due to injuries but this meant that everyone had the chance to enter the field and that the whole group improved exponentially.
We made it to the play outs to play for salvation. What does this stage represent for us? The play outs represent the icing on the cake and winning them would mean crowning a great sporting result and a splendid growth path made by the boys. As a society we express a very important youth movement and we are very keen to maintain the category to continue to value our young people in an absolute level championship.
