The first meeting of the season for Conad ended 4-0, the joint training session which saw Volley Tricolore and Gabbiano Mantova as protagonists; the four sets were fought point by point, but Reggio managed to get the upper hand and overall dominated the test match.

“Today’s result was definitely good for us. – begins Paolo Bonola, Giallorossi centre-back – In the locker room we promised to focus mainly on the attitude on the pitch and on the things we are training in the gym. My balance is positive, I saw a fighting team and it was also seen in the result.”

Now we need to think about the next test which will always be at home against Consoli Sferc Brescia, it will be the first equal category to face with a roster, according to Bonola, very strong: “In my opinion we will have to work better on the block, because today it was the fundamental on which we have sinned the most. It’s still early days, so we need to work and be patient if we want to be ready on Wednesday.”

Lorenzo Sperotto, a setter from Reggio Emilia, who scored 4 aces and a block, is satisfied with the team’s overall performance: “Clearly we are at the beginning. The chemicals are still to be found well, but I think we are on the right path. I believe that the attitude of the boys is the correct one, that I make myself comfortable during the game, giving me the opportunity to choose all my attackers.”

There are seven next training sessions awaiting Conad, preserving energy to give the best on the pitch will be fundamental: “Mentally we will have to use all the energy possible, because that is what must never be missing. Concentration and knowing how to be present on the pitch are the most important thing, which help you find energy even when you actually get tired, with so many weekly commitments.”

The next joint training session will be played on Wednesday 13 September at 5.30 pm at the PalaEnza in Sant’Ilario; Brescia will challenge Conad.
