The second opposite of Tonno Callipo Volley, Matteo Bellia (born in 2000) lands in Vibo after two consecutive seasons in Serie A3: the first with Delta Group Rico Carni Porto Viro which ended with promotion to A2, and the last with Sol Lucernari Montecchio Maggiore where he scored 428 points in 26 races, contributing to salvation and sixth place in the standings.
In the middle the promising Cosimo Balestra and Marco Belluomo, both born in 2003.
Cosimo Balestra, born in Sava in the Salento hinterland, grew up in the Green Volley Francavilla nursery. In the last 4 seasons he has played in Serie B wearing the Mater Volley Castellana jersey, with which he won the Under 19 tricolor championship in Alba Adriatica last May. Competition in which the young athlete was the absolute protagonist, obtaining the prestigious award as Best central of the national finals of the Under 19 tournament. He will be involved in the European Under 20 Men’s Championships scheduled in Vasto and Montesilvano from 17 to 25 September.
Marco Belluomo from the youth sector of the Gupe Catania had entered the Giallorossi Youth Sector last season by competing in the Serie B and Under 19 championships and deserving the call to the first team to fill the role of central fourth.
Leonardo Carta, born in Sassari on May 26, 2003, left Sardinia in 2018 to enter the Youth Sector of Mater Domini Castellana. Given his skills in second line reception he will be used in the role of free, as deputy of the owner Domenico Cavaccini, as well as hitter-receiver.
