The New Mater Volley Castellana Grotte formalizes the second confirmation for the 2022/2023 sports season: the president Nino Carpinelli and the sporting director Bruno De Mori have, in fact, confirmed, in view of the next national championship series A2 Credem Banca of men’s volleyball, the extension of the relationship with Nicola Tiozzo.
Venetian hitter born in 1993 (29 years celebrated last May 26), born in Chioggia (Ve), Tiozzo will be in Puglia for the second consecutive year: 296 points in 28 games (10.5 points per game in all competitions) , 19 aces and 24 blocks this season, second among the best scorers of the New Mater behind the already reconfirmed Theo Lopes (at the moment the only two names made official in the roster available to the new Gialloblù coach Jorge Cannestracci). Tiozzo will be in his ninth season in Serie A after the experiences of Cuneo, Bergamo, Rome, Cantù and Reggio Emilia (in Serie A2) and Sora (in Serie A1).
