Sokolov led the way to a first victory this season with 20 points scored, Cebulj added 17 and Civitanova had the better of Grottazzolina on a 3-1 score. Civitanova was without Juantorena, Grebennikov, Christenson and Kaliberda. While the first two sets were comfortable, the third and fourth proved tighter as Stankovic and Kovar left the court, substituted by Candellaro and Randazzo.
