Good game

In its first outing of the season against a strong Molfetta team, newly promoted in the A1, Ortona gave a good account of itself by surrendering only at the tie-break. Lanci’s line up was Lanic setter, Cetrullo outside hitter, Bruno and Galliani on the wings, Simoni and Guidone middle blockers and Zito libero. Molfetta escaped in the first set at 16-16 but Ortona tied it. And it also took the better start of the third set. At 16-15, the guests rocketed ahead and took a 2-1 lead. Di Meo and co also had the lead in the fourth (18-16) but Izzo’s ace marked the turnaround of a set sealed by young Blagojevic. The hosts got off to a brilliant start in the tie break with the young talents Fornes and Blagojevic and they would never be pegged back.
