Just like at Christmas, Catania spent new year’s day at work, as it had to prepare for the first return game of the season. Hugo Conte’s boys are heading to Città del Castello where they will play Saturday at 8.30. Both teams are fighting to stay, which will make it a real battle for survival: Catania has currently 13 points while the opponents of the day have 9. These two teams are the one that played the most tie-breaks so far and the first leg between the two teams was one of those games going all the way to the wire. Catania ended on the losing end and will look to take revenge.
“We definitely want to do better than that time – said coach Conte – First leg aside, this game on Saturday is a crucial one anyway. If we win, we can make a giant step forward and catch up the teams in front of us”.
